In observance of World Financial Planning Day, FPSB India in association with the Bombay Stock Exchange of India (BSE India) will participate in the bell-ringing ceremony on 4 October and host an in-person event titled, “Commitment, Engagement & Evolution”. This event will feature distinguished participants including renowned CFP professionals, AMC representatives, mutual fund distributors, academics and distinguished investors. See details below.
- 4 October from 3-4 p.m. IST: Commitment, Engagement & Evolution will focus on three key themes including:
- Commitment: The day will kick off by emphasizing the importance of commitment in the world of financial planning. Experts in the field will share insights on building trust, setting financial goals and establishing strong client-advisor relationships.
- Engagement: The second part of the program will delve into engaging different audiences into various activities that include a quiz, role play, group discussions, and more. Attendees will gain valuable knowledge about the financial planning process.
- Evolution: Lastly, a panel discussion with CFP professionals, academics, AMC’s representatives, Veterans in Mutual Fund Distribution and FPSB member panelists will discuss how financial planning has evolved to what it is today and also the way it paved forward.
At BSE India, FPSB India will also celebrate 11 CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professionals for their 20 years of dedicated service and unwavering commitment to the financial planning profession in India.
In addition, FPSB India is thrilled to announce the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with four prestigious institutions in India: Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA, Chennai), KJ Somaiya Institute of Management, Mumbai, and Army Institute of Management and Technology, Noida. These institutions are all geared up to introduce MBA and postgraduate programs in the field of financial planning.
FPSB India’s Global Consumer Research Report will be launched at the Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (IIM Mumbai) on October 4, 2023, with Dr. Manoj Tiwari, the Director of IIM Mumbai and the In-charge Director and Vice-Chancellor of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), presiding over the inauguration ceremony.
As part of the Solidarity Campaign for World Financial Planning Day 2023, Authorized Education Providers (AEPs) are encouraged to adorn their premises with a WFPD Banner and decorate with FPSB-themed balloons in blue and white to show their support.
Lastly, Authorized Education Providers and Regional Chapters will participate in WFPD 2023 by conducting sessions / workshops with professionals / institutions at various locations in India.
