National Financial Planning Month | Consumer Poll

In celebration of World Financial Planning Day 2026, CFP Board is raising consumer awareness of the value of financial planning throughout October, which is also recognized as Financial Planning Month in the United States. Through a combination of public awareness initiatives, media engagement, and educational resources, CFP Board is helping consumers better understand the benefits of financial planning and the value of working with a CFP professional.

As part of its campaign, CFP Board will share financial planning resources for consumers and CFP professionals through its websites and digital channels. The organization will also release findings from a consumer flash poll examining how couples communicate about money, navigate financial decisions, and manage financial transparency and spending habits. These insights will contribute to broader conversations about financial well-being and informed decision-making.

CFP Board will also engage consumers through social media, national media opportunities, and share insights from CFP Board Ambassadors on financial wellness. In addition, CFP Board will host events that increase awareness of the financial planning profession. By providing trusted information and highlighting the impact of professional financial advice, CFP Board aims to encourage more Americans to take meaningful steps toward achieving their financial goals.
